I've been married to a cute little Minnesota girl for 30 years, and we have had at least one Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) for 27 of those. We are still enjoying our three children, ages 17, 21 & 24. My Grandmother helped me start collecting Lincoln Cents in 1969, and my collections have grown from then in spurts a few years at a time. We got a four-wheel-drive in 1992, when they were just starting to be called SUV's, that was big enough for our family of five, and have explored many trails in Colorado. The kite flying started when the boys were little, and I've enjoyed many hours in the wind, running them up & down, untangling string, repairing the breaks and even fishing a few out of trees, the kites that is. Photography started when I was about 15, taking snapshots of classmates. I guess I was well enough known for that because a year or two later the high school yearbook was short on photos and they asked me to contribute and bail them out even though I wasn't on the staff nor did I get credit.
I enjoy being busy and have to remind myself to keep a balance between being a human-being and a human-doing. The challenge is to know how much is enough and to be content.
